Our Day at Highland Park

What a COOL slide. There are a bunch of really neat parks and walking areas in Kokomo. We spent and afternoon enjoying Highland Park. Preston thought the wee's as he calls slides were really fun. I was really surprised Preston went right one them without any fear. They were pretty big slides for a little guy. There is a walking path by a creek and a really neat old bridge to walk across. Trying to get Preston or Chase to look in the direction of the camera is very hard, so I think is the best we could do.
Mi Mi had found a really neat bubble blower on clearance. If you ever see one of these it is well worth buying one. The kids are having endless fun with them and the bubbles are really neat. I think Chase is a little scared of the bubbles, but he will learn to love them!

WE LOVE the Indy Zoo

This weekend Tee Tee came down for a visit. We had another wonderful fall day so decided to go to the Indy Zoo to see the animals This time Chase got out to visit with the sharks a little more. If you look between Tee Tee and Chase you can see a hammer head shark swimming towards Chase.
Chase enjoyed the fish and hit the glass a lot!

At the Indy zoo they have a feeding area for the Giraffe's. I have never been this close to Jeffery, so it was kind of cool. Preston couldn't get close enough.

Me and Mom....Pa Pa and Chaser...
Checking out the Rhinos...
We can't wait to go again!

Our Art Projects

This is a project Preston did at Church last weekend. He was really proud of it.
Preston has been quiet the artist lately, maybe it is in his genes! HAHA! I think we have a future Pollock on our hands.
This one cracks me up! Sorry L! Preston wanted a picture of him and his friend Langston to carry around so I printed one out. he asked for stickers to decorate it. Preston was SO proud of this. he carried it around town yesterday. To the Post Office, Target, and the bookstore!
These are picture we colored to send to Daddy for Halloween! Preston proudly showed them off!

Hi Daddy!

Hi Daddy!
We got your care package yesterday and LOVED it! Mommy read the quiet loud book to us and we thought it was really funny! I really liked holding your hand and can't wait to do it in person. Daddy thank you for the cars and all the cool coloring books. Mommy and I talked about Turner, Dusty and all my favorite Handy Manny friends. We love you so so much!
XOXOXOX,
Preston and Chase

My kid is a Superstar!

Ok so I mean that literally! Preston has been in to this break dancing thing that cracks us up. He has got moves I have never seen before! I taught him to do SUPERSTAR and of course he is a PRO! Cracks me up just looking at the picture. As soon as I find my camcorder I will record this so you can see him in action. We were watching Dancing with the Stars and as they were ballroom dancing my son was break dancing. Here is my favorite move..
He can hop around 360 degrees in this pose! Preston stopped dancing and clapped once the song was over. What a character!
SUPERSTAR!

We LOVE Fall!

My absolute favorite season is fall. I love football, sweatshirts, the smell of leaves burning, the rosy red cheeks on my kids after running around outside, apple cider, pumpkins, do I need to continue? I love everything about it. I love pumpkin patches and watching my kids run around in complete excitement looking over the mounds of orange pumpkin's that we will pick through to bring home the perfect one. I love that the kids love wagon rides and that they were as excited as I was to be picking out pumpkins. I think we manage to put our hands on every pumpkin in the place. It is so hard to decide!
Chase loved digging his hands in to the pumpkins to find the perfect one. Of course before we got home we already had broke the stem off of it!These green things, I don't remember what they are called are to keep away creepy spiders. I remember seeing these things as a kids and remember how cool I thought they were. I was glad to see my kids enjoyed them as much as I did when I was a kid.HAPPY FALL! Can you tell I am loving it......So is P!

What a perfect way to end our trip to the Pumpkin Patch, two happy kids, pumpkins, and a wagon ride to the car!

The DeWitt's VS. Indy Zoo

It is terrible that it has taken me so long to get back on this blog and write about the neat things the kids have been up to. Shame on me! Anyways last Friday Hannah, fisher and Rory were out of school because of the wonderful Madison IN Hurricanes that kept them from there education. Darn! We decided to meet up at the Indy zoo for a day of fun. It was so great to see everyone since I really haven't seen familiar faces in our new town of Kokomo, IN. All the kids were excited to get together and spend time with each other. The big kids were excited too!

At the Indy zoo they have a shark touch tank. It was wonderful! What a neat experience. Fisher was the first to dive his hand into the water and Preston shortly followed. We stayed at the shark tank for quite awhile since we wanted to make sure everyone touched a shark. As we continued on we came across the seals ( I think that is where I took this pic). I absolutely love this one! In fact I have another one with the seal swimming that when I get a chance I will put the seal in this pic so it looks like the kids were actually looking at something. In the mean time I thought this was super cute! The Walrus seemed to really like the DeWitt boys! He kind of just hung out there for awhile. Finally we went to see the reptiles. This was Candence's favorite part of our trip! She even sat in the snake. Nothing like getting two pictures of the kids! Poor Aunt Kristen wasn't feeling to hot but managed to make us all laugh anyways. She thought she was stuck, but no worries!

Here is a picture of Aunt Kristen caught in the action with my kids feeding the ducks cheerios. They all enjoyed it!

Chase enjoyed pretty much everything that happened through the day. Hannah took him around and made sure he was enjoying everything. Preston loved going on the chug a chug a boo boo as he calls it. I will post more pictures of our day later, but I just wanted to share a few now!

I really enjoyed my day. It is so wonderful to be close to family. That is truly the most important thing in my life. I hope to be able to continue these wonderful adventures through Indiana and to always keep family close by! I love you all, thanks for a great day!
