Chocolate Chip Cookie Time

Today we decided to make Chocolate Chip cookies. Preston love to help! He is so good and putting all the ingredients in and he even cracks the eggs. Preston thinks he always needs to taste test to make sure we are getting it right! When I was looking for the vanilla I caught Preston talking to himself in the silver part of the mixer. He was baby talking and waving to himself. I cracked up and had to get a picture of it!Aunt Tee Tee called in the middle of our cookie making. Every time the phone rang Preston would scream Tee Tee and was disappointed that is was never her. Finally it was so Preston had to chat with her.
Preston thinks that when he talks on the phone everyone on the phone can see what he is doing so he was showing Tee Tee his cookie dough.
Poor Chase was watching us cook. Normally I hold him up at the counter and let him help, but he is not feeling well. I can tell we started a daycare because by the end of the week we already have a sick kid. Chase got sick on the way home from school and the rest of the day he was fine. When we woke him up this morning he was sick in his crib again. The poor baby doesn't even cry. He is taking a really long nap, which is good because I know he feels bad. Although sick he is still darn cute.

My New Best Friend

Last weekend we spent a lot of time in the backyard with the kids. Matt found a cricket and wanted Preston to see it. Preston actually took a liking to his new friend. He played with him for a long time. He was very intrigued by this little guy. Preston let him crawl up his arm and then would catch it in his hand and look at it.
Preston even went as far as kissing his new friend. In my opinion he went a little to far, but he such a caring loving little boy.
Preston would hold him up and talk to him and we had to remind him to be very gentle because we didn't want to hurt our new friend.
After a long time of playing with the cricket we told Preston that it was time to let him go. Preston was very upset with the idea of letting him go home. Preston put him on the side of the house and said his goodbyes!

First Day of School (DayCare)

The boys started at WIU PACT Headstart last Tuesday. I woke Preston up at 6:00am to get him ready and then woke chase up shortly after. I really thought that I would have a struggle waking the boys up so early, but when I told Preston he was going to school he practically jumped out of bed. Preston was ok with getting dressed without watching Sesame Street first! He even went to the bathroom without a struggle. he is very set in his ways and has a morning routine that he likes to strict too. Plus it doesn't help that Preston takes after Daddy and hates mornings! Good thing Chase is a morning person like Mom! At least two of us are happy! (side note, Chase and I are crabby at night when Matt and Preston are happy!) Anyways Matt and I used the boys Christmas money from Grandma and Grandpa Wolff to buy backpacks for the kids. The kids love filling their bags with rocks, dinosaurs, cars, and whatever else will fit! Preston like to wear his backpack when he leaves the house and goes to school. He looks like such a big boy.
The first day went really well. Both the boys looked they were taken care of. When I asked Preston how school was he told me he peed. That is what he tells everyone. After a week of school all I get out of him is that he peed at school today. It is actually kind of funny! He is freaked out by the sound of the toilet in the bathroom and shows me what he does when his teachers flush the potty. On Friday Preston told me he peed and walked. We are making progress! When I ask if he likes school, he says yeah. Hopefully this will continue into our second week!
