AWESOME website

So as you all know I have been really into blogging and reading blogs. I have found three great blogs that I subscribe to their RSS Feed. It is awesome! The one that I can't get over and want to spread like wildfire is babycheapskate. There is updates on any baby product that you could think of that is on sale, at any store at any given time. They tell you about deals like if you spend $25.00 on amazon on playskool items you get a Free Mr. Potato Head. It tells you about products like baby swings marked 50% off with FREE shipping. Crazy! I saw our $150.00 swing on there for $75.00! This week they were talking about cloth diapers and having contests to win a bunch of them. Check it out, I promise after reading you'll find lots of money saving things. They even have a coupon trading forum, which I think is awesome. For those of you who subscribe to RSS you can add this Coupon Trading Group to your list of groups. People are trading all sorts of coupons, or giving them away. I always have coupons for random things, but never what I need. I always have pamper ones and not huggies, on this site you can just trade them! AWESOME!

The other one that I love to read is Simplemom. I have implemented lots of advice from her blog. My favorite is pearbudget. It is a great budgeting system that helps you stayed organized. They have a free 30 day trial and then it is $3.00 a month. I entered a contest through a blog to win a life time membership and WON! I love it!!! I love all her little tid bits and plan on implementing more in my daily life.

Check out these sites and let me know if you fins them as helpful as I do!

First Haircut

So I struggled with the idea of having Chase's haircut. I loved the little curls off the side of his head. It reminded me of Matt when iI first met him. Matt's hair curled on the sides when he needed a haircut. I use to call him curly. Well tonight during his bath I had a hard time combing the sticky fruit juice out of his hair. I decided that since we already had one year pics of him with his longer hair that it was time for a trim. I first thought I would just trim it and then as a cut it got cuter and cuter. The last cut I made it looked like a little mo-hawk, so I couldn't resist spraying it and taking a picture. He is so stinking cute!

At the park with the Carlock's

Today Pam and Larissa came over for a visit. We decided to take the kids out to the park for some pictures. These were my favorites out of the 200 pictures I took in the twenty minutes we were out there.

I love this picture of Chase. He just has such a sweet grin on his face!
Preston's little grin warms my heart. It just makes me smile looking at this picture.
Look at Larissa BIG eyes. They are just beautiful! Now I just need to figure out where I am going to put more pictures!

Chase's Birthday Weekend

For those of you who hadn't seen previous posts, my kids like glasses. Grandma brought the boys some funny glasses to wear. Preston thought they were really cool!
Chase wanted to eat his glasses, so we needed to help him keep them on his face. Even Matt looked great in the glasses. In fact I think this is a pretty good look for him.
For Chase's birthday we traveled over to Burlington Iowa to Fun City. The boys seemed to have a nice time at the water park. We went on the lazy river and then spent most of our time over at the kiddie pool. Preston enjoyed going down the frog water slide and Chase enjoyed just splashing the water. The best part of the whole trip was that Ti Ti (like Tee Tee), Grandma and Grandpa joined in the fun. The boys love having them here and it was nice to finally get out of Macomb.

Since we did a water park for Chase's birthday, I thought a beach theme party was in order. I made a Sand castle birthday cake and we blew up beach balls instead of balloons for the boys to play with. Here the fun begins.......

So the comments were made that Chase looked like Madonna with the cone bra....and here we come to the end of the cake and the start of a sugar rush!

It is hard to believe that a year has gone by, although it is even harder to think that we have only been blessed with Chase for a year. Chase is such a wonderful part of our lives and I thank god everyday for making him ours. It is amazing how much life changes within a little amount of time. Happy First Birthday Little Love!

Kids Rock

Our Friend Langston came over to play with the boys tonight and they decided to play music. What a great new boy band idea.... Aren't they super cute. We did manage do individaul close ups of the band members.

On the Seasame Street Guitar we have L (aka Langston) closely paying attention to strum the correct sounds.

and Bubba (aka Preston) rocking the plan toy drums. Making sure that they are hitting the same beats.

It has Arived....

Yes it is true, the Liverpool jersey has finally made it's way to Macomb, Il. This jersey has traveled a long way to get to us, but upon arrival Matt couldn't wait to get it on. Can you feel the excitement? I am not sure where this Liverpool fascination came from, but Matt loves it! He even has Preston involved. Here Matt was trying on the jersey and calling Preston in the room to get his reaction. Of course Preston cheered and was all excited.
Matt is showing love for his guy, "Torres."
After Matt wore his new jersey to work he came home and hand washed it. As it hung in our bathroom Preston screamed and cheered yelling ball when pointing to the jersey. Yes the DeWitt's are not only into their British comedies but now we get to add Euro Soccer or should I say Football to the mix.

Peoria Zoo

For the 4th of July we decided to take the boys and Aunt Ti Ti to the Peoria Zoo. When we first entered Preston went right to the Meerkat exhibit. He was running back and forth trying to play with the Meerkat and I think the Meerkat was playing with him as well.

I just love this picture of Preston. He just thought these little guys were so neat.
Here is Chase by the Spider Monkey's. He didn't looked really impressed, but I know in the inside he was super excited.
They have a small petting zoo where you could buy food for the animals. Preston made friends really fast with all of them.
While we were walking down the path there was a peacock that came out to see us. I was surprised that he came as close as he did.
Preston roared at the tigers. He wasn't as impressed at the zoo as he was at home when I was posting this picture on here. He was really excited and wanted to see all the animals. I guess sometimes pictures are cooler than the real deal!Chase wasn't really wanting us to take his picture, but here was an attempt of us trying to get one anyways. We really had a wonderful time at the zoo. Having Aunt Ti Ti with us made the day even better!Later that night we decided to go out to WIU for some good Old Fashion 4th of July fun. Preston really liked the fireworks this year. Chase hid in Matt's arms and would peak every so often so he didn't miss out of the fun. Preston and Chase both got monkey stuffed animals from the zoo and Preston carried his every where. He named it OW OW AH AH. (a.k.a for monkey) After the fireworks were over we went home where I had some snap pop things for Preston to throw. He thought that was really cool to hear them pop.
We ended up having an adventurous 4th of July and hope that next year we can enjoy fireworks either in Chicago or Galesburg. I am really missing fireworks synced to music. I love good patriotic music. Neil Diamond has it going on!

A Wii Night

So if you haven't tried the new Wii, it is quite entertaining. In fact I think that Nintendo should sell a DVD of Mel playing Wii as a bonus to all Wii buyers. It was probably one of the funniest things I had seen in a long time. Talk about getting into the game. Mel was a pro. Matt jumped in right along with her and was very action packed. Although I don't think anyone could quite match Mel's commentary. We were all impressed by the games and had a fun time playing, however I am still dead set on playing my Guitar Hero. Now that I can get into! Even Mom and Dad tried Rocking! Wish I would have got pictures of that! Here Mel is boxing. She has quite the moves!
Infact I didn't realize it was possible to move that fast!YES KO!!! Now it is Matt's turn...What a fun night. If you haven't played Wii get out and try it and if your in the neighboorhood come over for a game!
