Nothing like 5 am

So for those of you who do not know I just took a new job with Bona Vista as a QMRP. I am really excited about this opportunity and know that this is what I was meant to do. I love working with people and I LOVE the people I am working with. I am only on week two in this position, but am loving every minute of it. Our schedules have been thrown off a little bit and the kids have been waking up EARLY in the morning. Chase has been trying out shades of lipstick and Preston is loving the extra Dora and Diego time he gets!

Chase is very proud of Mommy Super Bowl beads. This was a big hit at Bdubs for the game. Although the Cardinals lost the company was wonderful. Thanks B.V. friends!!!

Happy Halloween

While shopping at Target I found a book of different templates to use for our pumpkin carving night. Since the kids love kitties we thought it would be cool to carve a cat pumpkin! It was marked on the top of the sheet as "easy" so we thought, What the heck!
Chase dug right in to the pumpkin, Preston does not like to get his hands dirty, so told us it was yucky!

Preston just wanted it to be done, he did not like how long this actually takes!

Chase got into Halloween candy! Poor kid was on a sugar high!

The finished product! Not bad, but I wouldn't say it was EASY!

Happy Birthday and Retirement Dad a.k.a. PaPa

SURPRISE!!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy-O / PaPa! Mom through a wonderful surprise party at the Siberling Mansion this past weekend for Dad. many of Dad's Friends from Chicago traveled up for the occasion. We had a wonderful weekend and it was nice to get dressed up and put the boys in their nice clothes! I enjoyed spending time with my sis and can't wait to spend more time with her in the upcoming week. Preston was waiting for Papa to come in so he could say "Happy Papa Day!"

All dressed up for the event...Thank you Malek's for the cute outfit!
Chaser actually looks Innocent in this picture. Little do you all know that he was screaming for cereal.

This bear freaks me out! He was in one of the rooms of the mansion and Preston kept telling me there was a grrr in the other room. He seemed like he liked it and once I saw it I freaked out! I thought my kids might have nightmares for weeks, but both boys loved on it.

Here is everyone at our dinner!

After dinner was over we headed back to the house to Roast my Dad. I never thought I would see my Dad in a pimp hat!

Our Weekend Away to see the other DeWitt's

What a wonderful weekend! I can't say that enough...Thank you , Thank you, Thank you!
We drove out to Madison, IN for a weekend of fun. We kept very busy from the minute we got there to the minute we left! I was so happy to see the boys around other kids. That is one thing they are currently missing, so it was very nice to see them socializing with other kids. Hannah, Fisher, and Rory take good care of the boys and they all truly have such a good time together.
Chase played with Hannah's beads, which was too cute!
Anytime Preston needed a jacket Fisher would go to his room to help dress P so he would stay warm! I loved the fact that Preston looked like he was wearing a dress, but was so darn proud of it! Preston and Fisher were sword fighting all weekend, due to seeing Peter Pan. P now thinks he is Captain Hook and needs to sword fight. I really didn't think he would catch on to the play as well as he did, but if you ask him about Peter Pan he tells you that he flies and when you say Captain Hook he is ready to sword fight. During the middle of the play bubbles fell from the ceiling and since we were in the second row from the front my son got to catch them! He was several seats away, sitting with Uncle Tom and Hannah. He yelled Mama, Bubbles! Then a dog came to the stage and Chase was yelling Dog, Dog, Dog, Dog......Dog! It was so funny! It was such a nice thing to do and the kids really enjoyed it! Hannah and Fisher enjoyed it as well, they had a sandbox with treasures in it. So the kids all took it upon themselves to help my boys get good prizes...a BAG FULL!

Preston has taken a liking to Rory...in fact he can say her name! That is impressive for a little boy who doesn't say much! He spent a lot of time hugging and kissing on Rory. I don't think she minded all that much!

Tom and Crippled Kristen watching all the craziness our children were causing on the streets of Madison! For just having surgery Kristen looks really good and moved around better than expected!
Chase slept through most of the afternoon, but woke up to get a pic taken!
P was picking flowers from a mum plant in front of a store.
He was running towards me saying here Mom! P is such a sweet little boy. He picked flowers for me all weekend. We filled little tiki shot glasses with water and had all sorts of flowers in the DeWitt house!
When we were downtown we went to this pottery place called All Ways Pottery. I love these kind of places. It has been years since I have been in one. This was very nice because I got to spend time with Hannie, Fisher, P, Rory and Candice. We had so much fun painting and chatting!
I have not been creative in so long that it was a nice thing to do! Preston painted a dinosaur, go figure! What a wonderful memory! I LOVED IT! I painted a plate and had the boys dip their hands in paint for the middle of the plate. I can't wait to see it when it is glazed and fired!
Hannah has grown up so much, I can't believe it! I can remember her sitting in her highchair showing me her Barbie plate when she was little! Has it really been that long! Time flies when your having fun! I just love this pic of Hannah...She's BEAUTIFUL!
This is my adopted niece Rory! What a creative little girl! She made a Halloween plate with spiders on the side made from fingerprints! How stinkin' cute is she!
So we took the DeWitt van everywhere this weekend. I sat with Hannah and Fisher...So everyone stopped for a quick picture and then I had two kids tickling, laughing, trying to make me sit on their hands, it was fun! Fisher actually looked like he liked me in this pic, but that was before the wrestling match where he picked me up on his back in the car and stole my shoe! Don't worry, Aunt Jen prevailed! Before we left we went to get pumpkins for the kids to paint. My children did not understand the concept of painting the pumpkins. Chase decided to eat the paint and Preston painted his arms black. Baths were well needed before we could head home.
I had to get a pic of Tom in front of his latest project...THE FENCE! The time has come to work on the fence and it is looking really good. Tom is priding himself on doing it all by hand and it will be really nice. I can't wait to see it finished!

Tom and I have a tradition of taking pics of each other taking pics. We are photo nerds, and this proves it!

Thanks again for a WONDERFUL weekend! We truly had a great time chatting and spending time with you all!

The DeWitt's LOVE to bake

So how many posts will I have of my kids baking? Preston was making brownies and Chase decided to carry the box around. They had so much fun, and really thought they were getting away with something. Preston had his hands in the bowl and then licked every finger clean.

Side Note.....If I ever bake for you I won't let my kids help!!!!

Chase, What can I say?

These pictures are from August, but I forgot to post them. As you all know this summer we worked on potty training Preston. One day Preston needed some assistance after dinner in the bathroom. I left Chase to play, not thinking that he would get in to anything. After awhile I realized how quiet it was, so I went into the other room to find Chase with an adult fork (Oh My GOD) and pudding. Of course he was wearing a white shirt and was very proud of feeding himself. All I could do is take pics of him!
